About Us
Fellow broke ass biker,
We're like so many others... work our average jobs for an average wage. Work hard, pay bills, avoid our wives and girlfriends nagging and wait for death.
But the only thing that really makes us feel like it's all worth it, all the bullshit that life has to offer us, is our bikes.
God damn I love motorcycles.
What I hate about motorcycles is that they cost money, that I have to work so long, so hard, for so many years to get my fix.
I read all the magazines, tons of blogs, and there's so much press out there. Never can get enough!
What troubles about the motorcycle press out there is how much attention is paid to some really awesome, really expensive bikes. It's kind of like how car magazines love to show off and test the new Ferrari 489 Italia, has 8 page spread devoted to a car that maybe 100 Americans will actually get to buy (probably more, but I don't know anyone personally who has such a beast). Ranting and raving about how awesome it is, page after page, that's fine... I can respect that. I don't mind living vicariously thru others luxuries.
But ya know what, there's not a Ferrari in my driveway. There's a boring as hell compact car out there that has no sex appeal. That's what I can afford, and so true for so many others as well.
I would love to have a Triumph Speed Triple, Goldwing or Road King. But I can't, not yet anyways... not while I'm single, got a house whose roof just got replaced and living with a broken air conditioner in the deep South.
Dreams are free, realities are not.
So my long winded point is this. I want to show'n'tell about what other people like myself can afford. Give more attention to the bikes out there the everyday folks can afford. Show off what's more attainable, make those dreams reachable and get excited about living within our means.
